Our Objectives Our objecctive is to provide a forum for exchange of ideas, information and resources to help improve the state of math education in SW Washington. Our objective may be expanded to other areas of education based on membership inputs. |
Who We Are We are a group of parents and citizens in the SW Washington area. We share a common concerns about the chronically low math achievement throughout the K-12 spectrum, and want to do something about it. |
The Challenges There are multiple challenges that we see, including but not limited to access to information, quality of instruction in classrooms, quality of curricula, state and national standards, teacher training, quality of the schools of education, social promotions, parental apathy, etc. Interestingly, we do not believe lack of funding and class sizes have much to do with this problem, which has been highlighted by the education establishment. |
Join Us Join us in promoting to get this issue to the forefront of public debate and effect change. Only when the majority is informed and empowered to bring about change will this happen. Please contribute your time, energy and funds (we do not ask for much) to the cause. |
